Description
Unable to browse /mnt/<diskname> folder to create Windows shares, this server only let me to select the mounting point of the disk but not subfolder as you can see in the instructionals videos, this prevent or difficult greatly my capacity to set permissions on the folders or share.
I have to say i'm very disappointed about this software, what i read was so promising but i'haven't been able to set just a couple of folders with propper permissions in an old PC

100% percent sure no, i remember i donwnloaded the latest not x64 version, but i'm not sure if it is the 8.0 RELEASE, are ther a way to see it in the freeNAS it self, the version number i mean?

On the main "System" page it should show you a FreeNAS build. Alternatively, do you still have the ISO you downloaded?
If you ssh into it, do a uname -a and provide that.

The main page says FreeNAS-8.0-RELEASE-i386, it have to be it, it is a buggy version?, uname says":
FreeBSD freenas.local 8.2-RELEASE-p1 FreeBSD 8.2-RELEASE-p1 #2: Sat Apr 30 12:10:51 PDT 2011 jpaetzel@…:/usr/home/jpaetzel/freenas/obj.i386/i386/usr/home/jpaetzel/freenas/FreeBSD/src/sys/FREENAS.i386 i386
do i have the wrong version?

- Resolution set to invalid
- Status changed from new to closed
Then you're running 8.0-RELEASE of FreeNAS, which is based on 8.2-RELEASE-p1 of FreeBSD. So yes, you're running the wrong version. Go here to get the correct ISOs:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/freenas/files/FreeNAS-8.0.1/
If your thumbdrive is 2g or larger you can upgrade from the ISO file. If your thumbdrive is not 2g or larger you'll need to find one that is before upgrading.
Closing ticket as this is a known issue in FreeNAS 8.0-RELEASE which was fixed in 8.0.1. Please visit #freenas on irc.freenode.org or the forums for further assistance with this issue, if needed.

Thanks a lot

Are you sure you're running 8.0.1-RC1 and not 8.0-RELEASE? I'm unable to reproduce this issue with the current RC, but this was a known issue in the original 8.0-RELEASE.
