#292 closed defect (duplicate)

config save settings broken

Reported by: labtopia Owned by:
Priority: major Milestone: 8.0-RELEASE
Component: GUI Version: 8.0-RC5

Description

in rc5 it looks like when i go to the system config tab and choose SAVE CONFIG, it dumps to some crazy debug screen that starts with ATTRIBUTEERROR at /system/config/save/ rather than saving the config to a file. i've tried safari and chrome and both do the same.

Search before opening a ticket doesn't hurt!

hi william,

thanks for the reply,

i start by looking through active tickets by version. i am prealpha alpha and beta for many high end products. unfortunately this sourceforge does not show closed tickets in these views. if they are closed i would assume they are fixed and i should not see the bugs to report. this bug is still in RC5 and that is why i posted it so it is not CLOSED, it should be an open ticket.

i am extremely happy with nas 8 and i love the work being put into it. i did a search just now and all CONFIG SAVE show as closed-but it is an open issue.

i hope this does not come off in the wrong tone but i am eager to help point things out to make this great software even a better experience for the user.

i would ask that you open this bug until it is repaired.

as i said this is great work and it is functioning in a production environemnt fantasically so far!

Hello labtopia,

Sorry if if have been rude, was not my intention.

I really appreciate your concern and your time for testing FreeNAS, it is of great help for us.

However it seems counter-intuitive for me to leave a bug as open if it has been fixed in the development branch, specially if it is not a -RELEASE version.

This is the procedure that we have taken so far.

However I agree we should add a view to list closed tickets.

Thank you!

no problem, i can understand when being hit by multiples of the same issue it can get frustrating. great work and i am looking forward to free nas future as it has unlocked me from ridiculously expensive san like datadirect and isilon. this fits my budget and is exceeding my performance expectation!

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
