Unable to use ESC in Vi from Shell in GUI

Description

When I tried to press escape in Vi using the Shell from the GUI, nothing happened and I wasn't able exit the editor. My browser was Chrome.

This for reference, seems like others keys like left, right, up and down does not work on chrome as well...

It seems to work in firefox, however.
