#1448 closed defect (fixed)

Nested datasets don't show up in the correct parent dataset

Reported by: monarchdodra Owned by: william
Priority: minor Milestone:
Component: GUI Version: 8.2.0-BETA2
Keywords: nested, dataset Cc: monarchdodra@…

Description

When the GUI displays nested datasets, they are all shown inside the main root pool, regardless of nested level.

I think the users would expect to see the datasets nested into each other, to parallel the directory structure.

In my case: I have a dataset called "Sleipnir_BCK/BSF", and inside the dataset "incoming" ("Sleipnir_BCK/BSF/incoming").

I would expect the "incoming" data set to appear inside "Sleipnir_BCK/BSF". However, it is inside the root "Slipnir_BCK", and under "Sleipnir_BCK/BSF".

Please find a clearer explanations with the attached pictures.
